Best homemade gift ideas

With only 9 days left until the big day, I’m sure a few gift receivers have been forgotten so here’s my list of 7 quick and easy homemade beauty and edible gifts to get you back on track 🙂

  • Body Butterbody-butter-blog

This luxurious body butter from Hens and Honey is sure to make anyone happy. It’s rich and creamy and oh so delish for your skin. Made with just Cocoa butter, Coconut oil and an essential oil of your choice, this gift is simple and cheap while not skimping out on quality.

  • Coffee scrub

Mmm.. this lovely exfoliating scrub from More than a Mom of three for the caffeine lover in your life. Coffee helps to reduce puffy eyes, exfoliates, tightens and even brightens the skin. Wow, it’s good for you AND it’s scrumptious.. I know whats on my list for Christmas.

  • Shaving creamhomemade-rosemary-mint-shaving-cream-top

This rosemary and minty shaving cream from Food for my Family is so versatile and is a more uni-sexual gift. It takes heavenly Shea butter and a blend of oils to muster up this beauty but boy is it worth it. For someone you want to pamper, this is the ideal gift.

  • Lip balm DSCN2737

Now I couldn’t make a list without adding in one or two of my own recipes, could I? I’ve tried and tested this recipe many times over without fail. It’s my go-to lip balm and I always keep one in my bag for college. The recipe is simple and the outcome is a luscious lip balm that with soothe your lips, what more could you want?

  • Ice cream in a box     FF-WH-Hostess-ice-cream                                                                   This idea is wonderful and whoever thought of it is a genius. Ah-hem  EmmyandGabbie. Everyone loves ice cream. Well, any sane person. And everyone loves decorating their ice cream like a little child. So who could turn away this gift? You could make all of the sauces and even make some toppings eg. honeycomb pieces, hard candy pieces and chocolate cookies dough bites.. it would be so damn delicious!
  • Movie night in a boxg2

Another ‘in a box’ gift, but just as cool. Everybody loves to relax and watch a movie or a TV show during their free time. How about treats and a DVD on the house? I hear no complaints! This cute idea from Megan Shipton is so cheap but looks really good. So you could buy a plastic popcorn box from the euro shop/dollar store like in the picture, or put it all in a box or basket. Either looks cute! Then add a DVD that you think they’ll like and fill ‘er up with goodies or you could even go all out and hand make some treats.

  • Bath bombsDSCN3180

Here’s another recipe from my blog that I think you’ll like. These bath bombs are Orange & Cinnamon, Rose & Jasmine, and Peppermint Very simple to make and can look good with any mold. Wrap ’em up all nice in a clear bag or put them in a gift box like I did, either way they’ll look great.

So thats it! I hope you liked the post and that you try out a few of these before the year is out. Let me know how it goes in the comments below or on facebook and twitter
